We are delighted to welcome Dean Rudd to Crest Plus as Senior Account Manager within the Business Development Team.

Dean’s role will be to support our agency partners in onboarding workers efficiently to ensure they can work and get paid accurately and compliantly.

Dean is an experienced account handler with some 9 years in the industry, so he understands the nuances of CIS and umbrella pay. This experience and expertise makes all the difference when helping recruitment consultants to place contractors quickly and seamlessly into roles.

What did you do before joining Crest Plus?

I worked for another umbrella for nearly 9 years – I love working in this industry, it’s always challenging and changing. I like the complexity of it, and its fast-paced nature, no two days are the same. Before that I was in sales, selling credit card machines to shops for both RBS and Barclaycard.

What do you most enjoy about your work?

Meeting people is by far the part of the work I enjoy most, couple that with the need to keep up with ever changing legislation and challenges, there is always something to talk about.

Why did you want to join the Crest Plus team?

I was looking for a new challenge and to use my skills and knowledge to help grow the business. I knew all about Crest Plus and its reputation within the marketplace.

It’s great to work for a company that’s at the top of its game. Because we specialise in construction, rail and engineering it’s great to truly understand the needs of our clients and really focus on delivering the very best services.

It’s a very dynamic business, with so many people to pay each week, that it’s reliant on a really strong team spirit, so I’m looking forward to being part of that. I wanted to move to a company that fitted my own passion, vision and belief and have indeed found that here at Crest Plus.

What’s your biggest achievement?

It will sound very corny but my two kids are by far my biggest achievement – achieving the levels they need to at school, making friends and being kind.

What do you like to do outside work?

Spending time my family fills a lot of my time but I do also like to play football during the season and I’m also working on bringing my golf handicap down (but this is taking longer than I would have liked!)
