A Message from our Managing Directors on COVID-19

The last few weeks have been challenging for everyone. Coronavirus has hit the construction and trade industries incredibly hard, and we have all encountered problems that we never could have imagined at the start of this year.
The foundation of Crest Plus has always been to support our contractors by working in partnership with their employment agencies. It’s at times like these that partnerships are tested. While normal life has been turned upside down, we have sought to ensure our services have continued to operate as normal so that we could be there to deliver sustained support to customers. By remaining available by phone and email, we have been on hand to help our contractors and partner agencies to manage the disruption of COVID-19.
We sought to move quickly to support umbrella contractors through the Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. Once we identified which contractors had been affected by Coronavirus measures and were eligible, we put in place the necessary steps to ensure furlough payments could be processed without delay. We hope this has gone at least some way to help our contractors through these difficult times.
Of course, in times like these what people really need is information and clarity. So we have focused our business efforts into assisting and providing updates as soon as information becomes available. Whether you’re a large or small agency, a contractor or a freelancer, we understand to a large extent the struggles you’re experiencing and we’re striving to do what we can to alleviate some of this difficulty.
That’s not to say we’ve had all the answers straight away. But, throughout this period we have aimed to uphold the open communication with our agencies and contractors that we have always had, and we’ll continue in this vein as lockdown measures begin to ease.
