KEY INFORMATION DOCUMENT – RESOURCES FOR AGENCIES
Apr 22, 2020
Key Information Documents have now been introduced that require employment agencies to provide more clarity around the pay rates and benefits available to people before they begin a contract assignment.
To support our agency partners, we have compiled some useful information about our Umbrella solution as well as a downloadable KID template specific to Crest Plus Umbrella employees. We also have an online tool that provides example pay illustrations.
The need for Key Information Documents arose from the Matthew Taylor Review of Modern Working Practices. It’s designed to improve the transparency of information for agency workers, particularly around pay, giving more immediate access to key pay-related information and a clear idea of fees and deductions. The rules state that all agency workers should be given a Key Information Document before agreeing terms with an employment business, so will be one of the first things a worker receives.
All of the contractors who join our Umbrella company are provided with detailed information and pay illustrations as a matter of course. The difference is that, with the introduction of the KID, workers will receive this information from their agency at an earlier stage in the recruitment process.
