We appreciate that time = money, particularly in the contracting world. No-one wants to waste time on unnecessary paperwork, which is why we’ve made it quick and simple to join our Umbrella company and get paid.
When you’re on board with Crest Plus, it’s easy to switch seamlessly between contracts, so you can take us with you wherever you go, without the need to de-register, re-register and hunt for all your paperwork every time you start somewhere new.
Here’s how it works.
Free Contractor Assessment
If you’re referred by your recruitment agency, we’ll get in touch with you by phone to start the process. Your advisor will take you through our industry-leading Contractor Assessment process to determine your eligibility for Umbrella working.
This involves a series of questions about your working arrangements to ensure you can comply with HMRC’s rules on Umbrella working. This takes about 10 minutes.
Pay Illustration
We will then provide you with a detailed pay illustration to show you exactly how your take-home pay would be calculated. The pay illustration will show you how much you can expect to pay in tax and National Insurance, and it will outline any additional deductions, including the income we retain for employment services. We’ll talk you through the calculation and answer any questions you may have. You can find out more about how Umbrella pay is calculated here.
Payment Set-up
After that, you will be added to our payments system so that your payments can be processed without delay. We’ll confirm to you when everything is complete – contractors can usually be set up and ready to work the same day.
Ongoing Payments
Ongoing, all we need is to receive your approved timesheets from your agency each week or month so that we can process your payments, no further action is required on your part. We will text you to confirm when your payments have been made, and you can access pay-related documentation via our secure online portal. You can rely on us for fast and accurate payment processing.
