DON’T IGNORE YOUR P60
Apr 29, 2019
If you’re an Umbrella employee of Crest Plus, your P60 document will be issued at the end of May.
The P60 details your taxable income, your National Insurance contributions as well as deductions made by PAYE. The P60 you will receive by May 31st 2019 will detail tax you’ve paid on your salary in the tax year 6th April 2018 to 5th April 2019.
It’s your formal record to prove what tax you’ve paid, so it’s an important to keep your P60 safe for future reference in case you need to:
- claim back overpaid tax
- apply for tax credits or
- provide proof of your income if you apply for a loan or a mortgage.
It’s also the document you would use if you had to raise any queries with HMRC. It’s a good idea to keep your P60s indefinitely, or for at least two years after issue.
