ARE YOU DUE A TAX REBATE?
Apr 29, 2019
Now that the tax year 5th April 2018 to 6 April 2019 is at an end, it’s time to complete your tax return and find out if you are due a rebate.
While you’ve got until 31st January 2020 to submit your tax return, the sooner you do it the sooner you will know if you are due a rebate. Every year we support hundreds of CIS contractors to complete their tax return quickly and compliantly, ensuring rebates, where due, are paid without unnecessary delay.
Our fast and efficient service is designed to remove the stress of administering your tax return correctly, ensuring the required information is submitted accurately and all the deadlines are met, so you don’t need to worry.
Why might you have overpaid your tax?
If you are like most CIS contractors, you will pay tax at a rate of 20%, deducted at source from your gross income. This means that you may not yet have benefited from your tax-free allowance (£11,850 for the 2018/19 tax year), or the tax implications of allowable expenses on work-related items such as clothing and equipment.
If this is the case, we can help you prepare your tax return and calculate what, if any, rebate is due. Rebates can take HMRC up to 12 weeks to process but the CIS contractors we support typically receive theirs 2 – 4 weeks after submitting the tax return.
